In our special 4th of July edition of the Driver Spotlight series, we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on Zachary S, a military veteran and valued member of the DeliverThat platform.
Zachary drives with DeliverThat in the blue-collar city of Pittsburgh, where he has resided for the past three years. "I have lived in the Pittsburgh area for three years, and I've come to know the roads and neighborhoods like the back of my hand", Zach stated.
Having served in the United States Air Force, Zachary's commitment to his country and his decision to join the military were motivated by the pressure of the draft. Being part of the United States military holds deep significance for him, as he recognizes the sacrifices made to preserve the values and freedoms we cherish.
In addition to his role with DeliverThat, Zachary has worked with other app-based platforms such as Uber. However, his diverse career path spans various fields, including being a criminology professor, owning an insurance agency and a home health agency, working as a waiter, and even owning a solar wholesale company. “Besides working, I enjoy immersing myself in the world of jazz music and indulging in my love for horses and dogs”, he said.
Zachary discovered DeliverThat through Indeed. Working in the gig space prior to joining DeliverThat, he felt comfortable and confident going into his first delivery on the platform. Reflecting on his experience as a gig driver, Zachary emphasizes the benefits of self-reliance and self-determination that come with the gig economy. "The biggest benefit of being a gig driver is self-reliance and self-determination. It gives me the flexibility to work on my terms and pursue my goals. Being able to set my own schedule and take control of my earnings have been empowering aspects of this journey”, Zach stated.
For newer drivers looking to make the most of their time on the DeliverThat platform, Zachary advises coordinating stacks and back-to-back deliveries. This strategic approach can help maximize efficiency and earnings.
Zachary attributes his success on the DeliverThat platform to his exceptional service mentality. His commitment to providing excellent service and going the extra mile has undoubtedly contributed to his achievements. "A great service mentality has been key to my success on the DeliverThat platform. I take my job seriously, just as I did when I served in the military", he added.
Thank you, Zachary, for your service and for your remarkable contributions to the DeliverThat platform. Your story and commitment inspire us all.
